Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
