In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
